Marketing on University Campuses


Envision Financial wanted to promote their financial services and expand their market across Greater Vancouver, the Lower Mainland and the Fraser Valley. After careful analysis and creative discussion, Jumpstart implemented an innovative campus marketing campaign to capture the attention of University and College students.

The Jumpstart team handled all implementation details including negotiating space and sponsorship of the University/College campuses; hiring, training, deploying and managing the promotional staff; and creation, set up and tear down of all promotional materials. Ultimately, Jumpstart was responsible for meeting or exceeding the sales targets..

Jumpstart achieved double-digit growth against sales targets. These very successful results were achieved within a tight deadline of two weeks to implement and approximately 30 part-time days on site at 14 University and College campuses.

Fido needed a competitive edge, so they turned to Jumpstart for a solution. After an examination of the wireless market, Jumpstart identified an opportunity that existed in the University and College markets. Working within an extremely tight timeframe (3 weeks), Jumpstart pioneered the first of its kind campus marketing program.

All details were taken care of by the Jumpstart team from lease negotiation, inventory controls, hiring, staff supervision and payroll, to clean up. At the end of the program, Fido had their new subscribers and a plan to roll out the program on a national basis.

ACC has aggressively marketed their long distance and recent internet services at University and College campuses across Canada.

Jumpstart’s RFP response was successful in winning the BC contract for the ACC campus marketing program. Within a 4-week time frame we were mandated to implement (in conjunction with an ACC employee) the entire campus marketing program.

The project included having to recruit, train, and manage the payroll for over 30 temporary sales employees and dispatch them to 11 University and College campuses across BC. Many campuses were running the Jumpstart/ACC promotions simultaneously throughout the province. Thousands of new internet and long distance subscribers were activated during the promotion.
